Ok, I have no idea how to do a blog, but Becky tells me it is easy. Don't expect me to post alot. If I do, it will be quite shocking.
The worst thing was trying to come up with a name for the silly thing. I finally found a quote I liked, so ta-da!
What have I been up to? (That's, I guess, the point of this blog since I don't have any deep thoughts - all though I may steal some at some point.)
I started my new job last Monday (January 9). So far, so good. The people are nice, the job is just taxing enough and I get to flee the house on occasion. Oh, yeah, and I get paid. That's the best thing about most jobs, isn't it?
My kids would kill me if they knew I was writing about them on the internet, but I'm going to do it anyway!
Meagan's knee is still injured and she is still hopping around. Her knee is gradually healing. It's a good thing she got a 4-day weekend off from school.
Cameron gets to run his own business for a school project. Can't tell you how excited I am about that! Luckily he has chosen locksmithing type stuff, so I don't have to do much with that - just set up forms on the computer occasionally and calm his father down once in awhile. Oh, yes, and Cameron, too.
Jarom got done with phase 1 of his braces on Friday. Now we get to figure out how to pay for phase 2. Yes, his teeth were REALLY messed up, so he gets the extended version. Too bad we don't have dental insurance that covers braces anymore. C'est la vie.
Amber is enthralled with my old cd player. The one I thought was dead. Somehow Amber resurrected it and rescued the 3 cds that were trapped within its bowels. How'd she do that? She even got the cd player to work again - and it doesn't even take the cds hostage anymore. What a smart 7-year-old!
David is painting, painting, painting. And getting better and better at it. Won't it be nice if he sells some of his paintings someday. He and I are going to look in to getting him signed up for a couple of local art festivals, so we'll see how that goes.
That's about it for now. Oh, yeah, except for my stolen deep thought:
"I hope if dogs ever take over the world, and they chose a king, they don't just go by size, because I bet there are some Chihuahuas with some good ideas."
