So, I remembered I posted a while back about cleaning out the bathtub drain. It seemed like it was about a year ago, but I thought I would check my blog and see how long ago it really was. November 2008. So I guess we have to clean out the tub drain about once every 2 years.
This time I used the plunger on the drain before I took any pipes apart. Not much came out before I pulled the pipes apart (with David and Cameron's help) except some globs of lint, but when the pipes were pulled apart, a huge (as in an inch in diameter and a foot long) glob of hair and lint came out really easily. Now the tub drains. Yay!
I'm not sure what's with all the lint in our drain - Cameron said it looked like a lint monster had taken a shower in our tub. I'm just glad that it's done. And, yes, it was as stinky as ever. Why does stuff in drains smell like the solution they use in perms? I can't figure that out.
I did get the RMA number for the computer monitor and shipped it back to HannsG, so I should have it back as good as new in a couple of weeks. Excited about that!
Now it's time to go make sure Amber gets her Utah Studies term project done. It's due tomorrow. She's making a Utah ABC book.

what sort of thing is in amber's abc utah book?
A is for American Indians, B is for Bingham Canyon, C is for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, D (you'll be especially proud of Amber's choice on this one) is for Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, and so on all the way to Z is for Zion National Park.
So glad her project is done and turned in. Wednesday was a rather late night because Amber kept goofing off while she was working on her project. Finally about 11:00 pm she decided maybe she should get down to business and get her book done!
amber sounds like some kids i had. i remember sitting over kids trying to get them to get their school work done--those were the days, my friend. Heidi, thank you for taking me to the women's dinner and broadcast. glad they had a dinner you could eat. sorry i wasn't feeling too well, but i enjoyed so much going w/you and holly. such lovely and wonderful daughters i have. you are very fabulous, heidi, i admire you so much--heavenly father must have loved me to give me such a marvelous daughter as you. hope you got to see pres. monson's (sp.) talk. love forever, mom
I hope Amber learned something from the experience. I made her do most of her project, but it took a bit of doing.
Thank you, Mom, for helping all of us kids make it through to adulthood. Being a mom certainly isn't easy, but I love it - most of the time.
Holly and I were glad to go with you to the broadcast. That we didn't get to stay for the whole thing didn't matter as much as that we got to spend time with our wonderful mother! I think we are the lucky ones! Heavenly Father blessed us all by making us a family. Hope you are feeling better and better every day.
what has happened to meagan?
Zac and school and work and going off with a friend for fall break for a couple of days. Meagan is a busy girl!
